AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY
WE BELIEVE THAT IMPROVING HEALTH, EDUCATION, AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES BEGINS WITH LISTENING TO THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY
Project Nicaragua is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that cultivates and advocates for sustainable projects in the fields of nutrition, socioeconomic development, water quality, and education. The Ohio State University chapter has worked with the rural town of Rancho Grande since 2009. We are centered around HOPE, or Healthcare, Outreach, Partnership, and Education, and are not religiously affiliated.
In Rancho Grande, we have fostered a strong relationship with young individuals, and we are committed to their long-term success. We work alongside community members to design and fund projects aimed at empowering and improving healthcare, education, and socioeconomic resources.

Are you in?
Involvement in Project Nicaragua can come in many forms. To donate, see our “Donations” page – here, you can directly invest in the future of these bright young children. All donation proceeds go directly to the community of Rancho Grande, Nicaragua and help fund public health, entrepreneurship, and educational initiatives.
We understand that some people would rather invest time. Please see our “Meetings” page to learn more about how you can join us on working to create a more equitable future.
The Ohio State University chapter of Project Nicaragua holds virtual weekly general body meetings Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30, which is subject to change. Meetings are usually split up based on initiative, so members may work on different ongoing projects or commit to one area.
